It’s apple harvest time!
I remember going apple picking in Maine as a kid. We’d come home with bags of apples that my mom would bake into pies—lots and lots of pies. Apples are budget friendly and body friendly—the health benefits of this delicious fruit are many and include a lower risk of respiratory disease, cholesterol levels and may even decrease your risk of cancer. They’re the gateway fruit: even folks who won’t eat fruit and veg will make concessions for apples.
